A rectified tile has the same physical properties as a traditional tile, the only difference is that, after cooking, a procedure is applied that allows us to obtain a tile with totally straight songs.
This treatment with diamond (or laser) teeth "rectifies" the edges getting perfect 90º angles. And the polish does not affect its thickness and quality of ceramics.
Thus, the rectified tile fits without failures with the rest of the series of the series. This offers us their main advantage: to be able to place them with a joint of only 2mm separation, resulting on precious continuous surfaces in which transition between one tile and another is perceived. (Above all, if the joint is the same color as the ceramic piece).
As a consequence, cleaner pavements and coatings are also generated since we do not have the usual joints, which can have 5 mm.
Its placement is usually slower and more complex than that of a normal tile so we must ensure work with professionals.
Initially, the rectified applied only to the marble imitation tiles, to achieve that feeling of huge and smooth pieces.
But today it is no longer the case.
Mykonos Ceramic has multiple rectified options among its series.
Not only in marble series tiles but in ceramic woods such as CALIMA, stones like the series BALI ROCK, cement cement such as the MANÁ, Rustic, interior and exterior tiles, different formats ...
Normally rectified tiles are porcelain, however, in mykonos ceramic you can also find rectified white paste tiles, such as the MARMI, or with textures beyond the smooth ones, with relief options of diamonds or waves as in the series ASTOR.
